Catch up day!

Good grief, 2024 leaked in to 2025 and dragged the twilight zone with it!

First order of business was an appt with Og yesterday. I drove Tori and her new staff and they went in. Since Og was already diagnosed with cancer last year (after expensive tests) he is really just on Meloxicam for pain (tho the vet said pain wasn't to do with the cancer) He'll be 14 in a couple weeks and is still a happy little guy who loves his walks, snuggling and the zoomies. He just needed his shots required to get re-licensed. That's it. We thought we were looking at QoL care. They tried to add some other shots and they were declined. The vet that saw them told them his tumor was just fatty tissue and could be pretty easily removed. Would have been easier when it was smaller. WHAT We had declined surgery since he had cancer, a heart murmur and was aged. I called today and the front desk seems a little defensive, but someone will call me back soon and let me know who lied about what. We don't actually know if he has cancer at all, now.

Anyways......after saving forever and opening an online shop, so much time and effort (super hard stuff when you have TBI and every other health issue) an old friend provided so much assistance and work also. I had 4 supporters and 3 sales through my store, from my FaceBook friends and following.
I really really thank you guys for helping!
Amazon affiliate is commission obtained by advertising and posting links. I had also made separate pages for the 3 target audiences, so as not to annoy people with legal/rights/disability/health care posts, which no one is interested in anyways.

So, I moved on to TikTok after it was restored and am building a presence there. I'll keep on with my YT videos too after next week, as I guess there is more $$ there. But it is hard work for me. And after 8 months of work got me 3 sales over the holidays, I have to be more careful with my time and health. I still make pennies on my facebook main and pages too. Hey, its something anyways, right?

About 12 years ago I had a hysterectomy, urethral sling and some other stuff done. (a lot was due from prior back issues and my bike accident)   After several issues occurred (not the surgeon and I can't talk about most of it at this time) it all fell apart/open. I had to wait all summer then have another operation to re-do part and reclose me.
About 2 years later I started having pain issues, PT, UTIs, gastro issues......  No one ever put it all together, or sent the actual films to the correct Dr.s
Fast forward to 3 years ago. I got a new prosthesis and started PT. I was SO excited!! And promptly injured my insides. I then had 6 bouts of diverticulitis, 8-UTIs, 2 bouts of shingles, covid 2 times and 2 sinus infections. Over about 1 year.
I  was sent to a surgeon to have my colon removed (I had no idea that was the plan) but he disagreed as it was something else and no one had treated my infections long enough to cure them (insert Sjogren's DX here)
I threw up my hands and moved on to Tori's issues for a bit.
Now add in finding out I have pretty severe osteoporosis in my left hip and scramble to get a medical release for weight bearing and medication. The only medication they will give me can cause problems healing, gastro issues and UTIs. I won't do that, and 2 Dr. won't budge and give me any other treatment. well-wasnt-that-surprise
My prosthetist made a new "stubby" prosthesis. It is only as long as my other thigh. Then I can do floor exercises, yoga etc. Even kneel while I fold laundry and do some house work, which will be some weight bearing to improve my hip. The second time I used it I hurt my insides again, then diverticulitis etc
I finally got all my radiology reports for the CT scans required for divert. treatment. We're not sure if they are actually someone elses or the radiologist was drunk, but they all basically said everything looks good, my reproductive organs look good for my age (2 times, and I don't have any)
I went back to the urologist as I now had another UTI. They set me an appointment with the Dr. who originally saw me many many years ago. He had already obtained my films, and confirmed everything I said and questioned for 10 years was correct. He said much more, but again...can't talk about too much. I know you're thinking I already did talk too much  lol
So, I am going in for "surgery" on Wed. He is doing a lot while he is there. I'll know so much more after this. I've already contact my gastro and gyn so they are aware. We told them they need to review their records and my CT scans, also.

Wish me luck and I'll keep ya posted!

Define safe as it applies to your life

 So....you read about Depo provera??

Huge lawsuits for brain tumors or death.
Had that about 40?? years ago.

FORTY years later we find out about the side effects.

It's cases like these that make me want to rage when people get all "trust the FDA" and "trust the science" "just take birth control" about so called safe shots and immunizations.

That's just 1 of about 11 lawsuits I am not eligible for, thankfully. The others I don't qualify because I didn't actually blow up or anything nearly as dramatic.

Maybe it's a new reaction to getting it after the other new vaccines?

I'll just stay in my house thanks.

New cell phone!

My poor Samsung S 10 was slooowwwing down with all the apps I needed for my new little businesses. I wasn't able to use the apps for the blogs or store and pictures were getting very messed up. Plus my GoPro app was just lagging terrible and wouldn't connect to the camera.
So after much comparison shopping I decided on the SAMSUNG Galaxy A35 5G. With up to 4 years of updates and 5 years for security updates. Expandable storage and 128 GB internal. So far I am very pleased!

Give it a look if you're in the market.

Well, wasn't that a surprise

I'd been sent for a DEX scan some years back, during covid. The Dr. never explained the results, nor discussed what we should be doing about it. Turns out I had a fairly good start to osteo in my left hip. (side of AKA)

Fast forward some years later and have a repeat DEX scan at another location and now I have advanced osteo in my left hip. (always have your scans at the same please guys!!) My PCP was very concerned and now my entire being is in the spotlight. How do I transfer at home, who cooks for me, who drives me, how do I get into my van, grab bars in bathroom/shower/bed, how long since I walked.....on and on. The bottom line being if I fall I will probably crush my hip and put an end to any attempts to walk, let alone be pain free. I already had a great plan set up with all providers ready. I was going into spring '24 with all hands on deck! Not the first time I've attempted this. But being responsible for the care and lives of others always put me off to the side. Now I was derailed by time. Too much time had lapsed, changes happened I was not aware would happen. WHO knew Osteoporosis was common in above knee amputees? Not I, to be sure.

So I head off with lists of questions and release forms for specialists to please communicate with each other, lest I end up seriously injured. PCP referred me out to an Endocrinologist in Vermont for treatment. My rheumatologist weighed in, my PM&R voiced opinions, I spoke with old friends, my endocrinologist even took my "case" to a conference and spoke to someone she knows who specialises in Osteoporosis in unusual cases.

Final stop (which should have been the first stop) was to my Prosthetists. No official statement, but also aware of and finds it very curious that most traumatic above knee amputees are diagnosed early on with Osteoporosis. It was definitely traumatic, and a few years after I stumbled and fell directly onto my left knee. I cracked my thigh bone up the front and smashed the end, with bone fragments all over. I also severely "bruised" my pelvic girdle. I've seen one radiology report that said it was cracked, but no one has ever confirmed it on subsequent x-rays. So...there is that. And not so much a mystery. I worked up a plan with them with a follow up with my PM&R on the 28th. More on this later. I had a treatment plan with the endo which got derailed by a UTI. but more on that later, also.
